It has no sun, no star to call its own, and exists primarily by floating between gravitational pulls.

When one is discovered that not only holds no motion in space, but also no rotation, an expedition is mounted. And lost.Captain Brynn Herris of the Colonial Navy has been ordered to take her ship, the Archangel, out to this planet to rescue the expedition. However, the expedition was launched by the United States Department of Space Exploration, whom the Colonials have tentative diplomacy with.

Further adding to the tension is the fact that the DSE have insisted upon sending a liaison, a Falcon Marine, who has ties to Brynn’s past. With such complicated politics — both formal and personal — the mission is fraught even before it begins. But upon arrival at the planet, the crew of the Archangel discovers that not all is as it seems: ancient secrets have placed this planet into the position it currently rests in, and ruins along the surface could hold answers to the origins of mankind. But the DSE hasn’t revealed why their team disappeared, and the answer could consume the Archangel.
